We are Active in the Community

Michael's Mister Aloha personality and "hiki no" attitude has served him well in life, not only with club spirit but also at the Hale Koa Hotel where he has worked for over 20 years in food and beverage.

Michael is known for his artistic flair with beautiful floral pieces, from hair ornaments, lei, decorated vehicles, table center and floor pieces. He finds joy and satisfaction not only in arranging these one of a kind pieces, but also in going out of his way to pick each item in these beautiful creations. These items not only depicts his Hawaii culture but exudes the Hawaiian values that define him.

For our club, he has done installation banquet, Christmas party, and decorated vehicles for the King Kamehameha floral parade, the Prince Kuhio Parade and Aloha Festivals parade, KIKA conventions; sold Aloha Festival ribbons; ushered for Aloha Festivals investiture and sold programs for the King Kamehameha Celebration Hula Competition.

Michael's community involvement included, helping in May Day celebrations for Farrington High; Manana Elementary Schools; Royal Hawaiian Band functions; Rose Joshua Hula Halau activities and Congresswomen Colleen Hanabusa's campaign.

The PHHCC is proud of you and are inspired by your kindness and generosity to others.
